  1. I'M still reading, I'm not offended, and if I was, I'd tap the keyboard and go elsewhere.

You said nothing offensive. I never realized how hard it might be for a parent of twins to just do a daily errand without people getting all up in your Kool Aid. That sucks.

I applaud how you're raising your kids. I know parents who even force the schools to keep their twins in the same class at school. I'm not sure why. It almost gives off the vibe that they can't survive without each other.

    I prefer your approach.

  2. I agree. Well said! Never looked at this way. Thanks for that!

  3. I read it all. I don't necessarily agree with it all, but it's your family and your opinion, and more power to you for expressing it. My boys are very frequently called "the twins" "the boys" "those jerks in there"

I guess what I disagree with is that 'labeling' them 'the twins' means they're not still individuals - I've always tried to make sure they're seen as individuals, honestly. They get separate doctor's appointments (meaning I drive an hour both ways twice), they're in different classes at preschool, they've only been intentionally dressed alike twice in their lives, though I do tend to coordinate their clothes for pictures, but I'd do that if they were singletons, too.

My family, however, doesn't seem to see them as individuals - like, really, they can be separated for the night, they don't even really like each other most of the time lol

Besides, it's all just words, right?

Oh, and I used to dread taking the boys to the store, because it was just like that. It does slow down, once they're not so adorable and baby-like, at least it did for us.
