Sadly, I enjoy just a little when they are sick, I admit! The cuddles, the quiet, the lack of jumping for hours. Yes.. sometimes when that first flush of fever appears on their cheeks I get a little excited.. then you have school age children and the thought of a bug of gigantic proportions descends and you want to out them in a bubble until the child that started the contagion is no longer contagious! Sick child is a 50/50 chance of cuddle love or smelling like vomit and lysol!
I get what you are saying....TOTALLY. My son stopped wanting mommy cuddles around the age of 6...even if he was sick! He was the one who wanted NOTHING to do with me while sick, he just wanted his blanket, the couch and the remote. Now, the Teen...HELLZ YEAH! Even now when she is sick, she will come cuddle with me all day long...until the fever breaks and the sickness goes and her "I'm the Teen" mood comes back. LOL So, yeah, soak that chit in my friend...soak it in!

The only time the Mini is nice is when she's sick. Seriously. Sad, but true. Also, I get to pick on her and she can't fight back.
