  1. You soul reflection is felt! Let your boys be the mirrored reflection! Don't look at the actual mirror, but face shining eyes that look at you as their hero! That is the honest reflection of yourself!

This was beautiful, even filled with pain, even hearing the hurt and the guilt! There was so much beauty in this post! Hold on to that! Pure honest love and a hope for tomorrow!

  4. Congratulations on your first Sunday Confession. I'm so glad you joined up and I hope you will again soon. This was a pretty big first topic to tackle and you did wonderful.

All we can really do in this life is try to be the best version of ourselves, and part of that is overcoming our regrets. The advantage your kids have is that you've done things... and they might not ever know about them in detail, but you can teach them the best you can to avoid doing the same things. Good luck to you and yours.... I hope you'll come back next seem.

  5. Wow!! Amazing 1st blog post. I can relate to much of what you wrote here. I agree with the above comments that we cannot keep beating ourselves up with past mistakes, but move forward and become the best versions of ourselves not just for our kids but for ourselves too. You have those two beautiful blessings who see who you really are and they love you, time for you to start loving yourself as they do. Look forward to reading more of your posts. Love your FB page too!! :) Thanks for sharing on such a deep and personal level. No more regrets dude!! :)

  6. It's hard to get past the dark times. Seemingly though, you have light (your family & friends) to help you get through the dark passages when you're ready.

I hate to copy everyone else, but oh well, wonderful post. Thank you for sharing a part of yourself.

  8. I understand 100%. As I was a drug addict & borderline alcoholic at 19 then I got pregnant & my world changed. You are a fighter & you already have rewards in life from loved ones. Never give up!

  9. Having kids is the most sobering reality. They're lucky to have you and one day they'll appreciate your struggles and be proud of your strength. Maybe there's redemption in that? Not that you need it but maybe you want it? I don't know. Just a random observation. Nice piece.

  10. I remember being where you were when you wrote this. One thing I've learned in life is that I am my own worst enemy. When I allow that bad shit to slip back in, I know that I'm not good for anyone around me. I try to live each day with a 'fuck it' perspective. If it's not benefitting me or my family, then fuck it. I don't need it. You're awesome, Papa! Hugs from #Hussytopia!
